My school 2013 Satun Wittaya School

My very first assignment as a TEFL English Conversation Teacher For the ASEAN Project, was at Satun Wittaya School, Satun, Thailand. Here are precious moments I want to share with you...

I joined Satun Wittaya school in November 2012, not knowing what was waiting for me. I arrived for my first day at school like a new student... full of expectations, a bag full of lesson plans and great excitement.

The warmth and friendly acceptance was overwhelming but so welcome.... Every morning the students were cleaning up and sweeping the ground to music over the intercom. This created pride in their school and care for their environment. I enjoyed walking past being greeted in English offcourse.

The Teachers and directors often had lunches together, sharing and connecting with each other. This made working in this school so much more fun. I felt part of the team and we all tried to speak English.

Special friendships were formed for life. Teacher Kate and Teacher May joined me for a photo during our Foreign Language departments celebration day.
